BOCK WINE & SPIRITS GOALS
To care about the clientele of our customers and their pure satisfaction from the wines & spirits we represent.
To offer the most complete line of terroir-driven wines & spirits in the world. To strive for products that are harmonious, balanced, and value oriented.
To search out wine producers that are, first and foremost, wine growers, and if not so lucky as to own their own vines, to obtain producers
who have strong and collaborative relationships
with their growers.
To search out distillers who have a keen knowledge of their craft and who, while respecting tradition, are evolving at the same time
their art of producing essential spirits.
To represent our wines and spirits in a professional and courteous manner.
To constantly grow and enhance our knowledge of the wine and spirits products that we represent and expand our relationships with our suppliers
to better serve our customers.
To represent only producers with integrity and high standards.
These beliefs and high standards must be carried through to the end product, giving us the best wines and spirits to present to our clients.
To be economically viable, honest, and productive.
The bottom line: we are customer-driven. And we care about your bottom line.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF WINEHAVEN
Home of Bock Wine and Spirits
Winehaven was a winery and town in Richmond, California, that held the title of “World’s Largest Winery” for twelve years (1907–1919). It later became a fuel depot for the United States Navy.
After the 1906 San Francisco earthquake left the city in ruins, the California Wine Association moved to Point Molate, a promontory on the east shore of San Pablo Bay, and began construction of Winehaven. At the peak of the season, as many as 400 workers lived here, as all of the California Wine Association’s shipments to foreign, coastal and New York markets sailed from the Winehaven dock—shipment capacity was 500,000 gallons (1,892,705 liters) a month, and 40 ships sailed annu- ally for New York alone. The winery was shut down by Prohibition in 1919, and the company sold off its assets to avoid bankruptcy. Winehaven went mostly unused from about 1920 until the late 1930s.
A post office operated at Winehaven from 1910 to 1925.
The Navy bought the 412 acres (167 ha) site in 1941, moved into the winery buildings, and con- structed 20 large concrete tanks on the hillsides above for a fuel depot. Thousands of drums of fuel were stored in huge buildings, pipelines were laid, a new pier was built and the old one was eventu- ally removed. The old Winehaven Hotel was pressed into service for a period as barracks and mess hall, and the workers’ houses were renovated for the use of naval personnel. The Commanding Of- ficer of the Naval Fuel Depot was assigned the largest house on the bluff overlooking the others, which previously had been the home of the winery superintendent.
Despite the switch from wine to fuel, the historic district remains virtually unaltered from its days as a winery. There are 35 buildings in the National Register historic district built between 1907 and 1919, the most notable being the castle-like Winehaven Building adorned with crenellated parapet and corner turrets. Also within the district is the Winemaster’s House (Building 60), which became the Commanding Officer’s residence, and the Village of Point Molate, a row of turn-of-the-century cottages used to house Winehaven and military families. The Navy continued to operate the fuel depot during the Korean War and Vietnam War until it was decommissioned in 1995.

Baja Tanga Sparkling Rosé
Baja Tanga was created with Argentina's iconic boliches (nightclubs) in mind, and is made up of Malbec, Chenin Blanc, and Torrontes. Outside of nightclub settings it also pairs well with a broad array of both sweet and savory foods.Vintage: NV | Wine Type: Sparkling Rosé
Varietal: 95% Chenin Blanc, 4% Torrontes, and 1% Malbec
Origin: Argentina | Appellation: Mendoza
Elaboration: Stainless steel fermentation and aging. Similar to wines produced in Italy's Prosecco DOC, Baja Tanga is carbonated in tank, as secondary fermentation in bottle would mean extended aging in cellar, robbing the wine of its signature freshness.
Winemaker: Mariano Richardi
Saint Gregory
The cooler Anderson, Redwood and Potter Valleys are ideal for the variable nature of the Pinot family cultivators. We capitalize fully on the blending possibilities afforded by the distinct attributes and various clonal selections of Pinot Noir of each of the approved viticultural areas. We apply traditional Burgundian methods: a long fermentation in the barrel (always using French oak barrels), stirring the lees and malolactic conversions in our white wines. For our red wines we begin with extended cold maceration and in most years practice the art of “saignée”: the bleeding off of 10% of the juice to intensify color and flavors. Our cellar regime follows aging guidelines that give us rounded whites with firm acidity and fragrant red wines that are elegantly balanced.Varieties: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Pinotage, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir Rose, Sparkling.
BERTHA'S REVENGE SMALL BATCH GIN
BERTHA’S NAVY STRENGTH
We are delighted to introduce you to a new nautical member of our little herd Bertha’s Revenge Navy Strength Gin. We have raised the ABV to a lip-pursing 57.1%, and have shuffled the botanical blend slightly to accentuate one or two of the more pronounced flavour notes. The extra strength gives our merry crew of spices a megaphone through which to convey their message, which is as smooth and as well-balanced as you would expect from a cow riding at anchor.Bertha’s Navy Strength gin tastes divine when sipped over ice. She is also an excellent base to gin-forward cocktails, especially a Gimlet.
Popol Vuh Mezcal – Espadin
Mezcal made by Popol Vuh in Oaxaca, Mexico. It is produced in the DO of nine states, of any agave and bottled between 35-55% abv and of course, to pass specific lab testing. It’s preparation must comply with at least the following four stages and equipment: a) Cooking: cooking of maguey or agave heads in earthen pits or brick/clay ovens. b) Milled c) Fermentation: done in animal skins, pits or tanks made of stone, earth, tree trunk, masonry basins (concrete or earthen tanks), or wood. And whose process may include the fiber of the maguey or agave (bagazo). d) Distillation: with direct fire in copper alembic pot stills or Filipino style stills made of clay or wood with clay, copper or stainless steel bottoms; whose process can include the fiber of the maguey or agave (bagazo).Tasting Notes
Transparent, crystalline, bright, with silver nuances and double hanging in the glass or glass which denotes a full-bodied mezcal. Round and with character, botanical on the nose, with a background of earth and damp stones, coupled with a hint of cooked agave and complex fruit. Velvety with fruity hints of long and elegant persistence on the palate, extraordinary balance and complexity thanks to a perfect integration between the flavors of agave, smoked and fermentation notes.
