Chance Creek Winery

Owned by our very own Lou Bock, the Chance Creek Winery wines are truly noteworthy. The Sauvignon Blanc 2013 won Best Sauvignon Blanc with Crab at the 2015 Mendocino Crab and Wine festival at Fort Bragg and hands down; the Sangiorosso is the red wine for summer! The Sauvignon Blanc has a touch of Viognier in the blend that gives the ripe citrus fruit flavors of the Sauvignon Blanc a richness on the palate that begs to be tasted. The Sangiorosso is a beautiful blend of Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir and Viognier. It is worth mentioning that the Sangiovese used in the Sangiorosso is a clone from Il Poggione in Montalcino.

The fact that these wines are also certified organic is just another accolade to the resourceful farming and wine making techniques that are in practice at Chance Creek.

Chance Creek Sauvignon Blanc 2013 is a stunning example made in the Redwood Valley. Ukiah California is home to many wineries, all focused on sustainable and organic farming practices and all are some of the most renowned of Mendocino county.

 Our Terrior Sauvignon Blanc is unique in that we blend 5% Viognier into the wine. This gives a lush mouth feel and bright orange blossom notes. These vineyards in Ukiah sit at the headwaters of the Russian River Valley.
sangiorosso2010  The Terrior Sangiorosso is a tribute to the heritage of Italian wine making in California. The Sangiovese blended with Zinfandel, Pinot Noir and Viognier come together in a fusion of fruit and earthy flavors. This wine is a step beyond the typical “Cal-Ital” wines. The lush fruit of this 2010 vintage is exceptional.
